Hello to all out there! Long time no talk but here we are to advance that Malevolence is back on trail or as we usually speak: we are back under acknowledge of the public eye. We know there is a huge gap in between releases and when we think about the latest full length album being released in 1999 we just cannot believe how time passed away so quickly. Indeed we are almost 8 years ahead and zero official releases had been released on our side.

We could summon so many reasons for that episode including individual life issues, working issues, the search for the substance of living and we could go on and on. What really matters is that we have never really been away nor the band as disappeared from the face of the earth neither has malevolence disbanded as countless ones spreading rumors like to say.

Proof to that is that not so long ago we released an EP that counts more like a promotional item than anything else, titled [celebration of dysfunctional becoming] including 4 new brand tracks. This release was spread away in particular to some labels around the globe and to some individual friends of ours. It is not an official release and the tracks featured therein will be available on the third album.

And now let us speak a bit about the new album. Considering the promotional EP we got some interest from some labels but when we come to the conditions there is always something missing. So instead of loosing more precious time searching for one, we decided to make everything on our own terms, again. As we speak we have close to 80% of the album completed and our immediate plans include finishing the composition of tracks until the end of 2007. But as we learned only time will tell about these plans.

Thou shall not work under pressure; thou shall not work under stress. This is the actual attitude of the band and this is the path we have been following no matter what people say. By the way from this day forward just believe on what you read here or on this website as it comes officially from the band. Nothing else is real, period.

There is of course some anticipation around the earth about the new material and all we can say is that the new songs are way more aggressive – sicker – technical and more in your face. For the fans of our previous work there is abundance of melody and impressive elements but do not expect by any means [Martyrialized part II]. All in all the new material is way more in your face and way heavier than any musical expression we have made until this day. We have almost come to an end about the title of the new album and we plan to spread it soon.

As of this day the malevolence line-up is completed with KK on vocals and rhythm guitars, Aires Pereira on bass, Joel Silva on drums and Antonio Pica on lead guitars. We will still use the guest keyboard player we used on our previous album and as soon as all the material is ready we will gather with him for the final arrangements. Michael the previous lead guitarist was with us since 2001 and had to leave on the middle of 2006 due to the pursuit of a medicine working career. All the best for him in all directions and we cannot say he might not be invited as guest on the new one. Time will tell once more.

As for working producers and names, as people love names - we can advance we had some talking in the middle of 2006 with Daniel Bergstrand [Meshuggah – Strapping Young Lad] in order to be the sound engineer of our next record. We sent him some raw rehearsals, the promotional EP and even our previous second album. He was so impressed with the diversity of the material that he even offered his talent to make the full production of the album. But at this moment we really need to check about his agenda and sort some other procedures out. Anyway nothing is sure as we speak on this field. It is just a remote option in a sea of probabilities.
